The death of a friend or family member can often represent a huge loss, but if there’s a problem with their Will or someone makes a claim against their estate, it can seem daunting to deal with.

Our solicitors are able to advise if issues come to light about the preparation of the Will, how it was witnessed, the testator’s capacity or undue influence on the testator. This often starts with a letter to the person who drafted the Will asking for information. This is known as a “Larke v Nugus” request, named after a prominent stated case.

We can also advise clients about claims made under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependents) Act 1975, be that in bringing a claim or defending one.
